Smart Shield Solutions is a trade name (d/b/a) of Fast Locksmith LLC, 8200 Greensboro Drive, Suite 900, McLean, VA 22102.

1. The program

Smart Shield Solutions Service Notifications are text messages about the work we do. We send:

• To customers: appointment confirmations and reminders, links to estimates and invoices, payment receipts, and updates about your job.
• To our technicians and subcontractors: job assignments, schedule updates and job details.

We do not send marketing or promotional messages through this program.

Smart Shield Solutions Offers & Reminders is a separate program of marketing text messages: seasonal offers, yearly maintenance reminders and news about our security services. It is sent from a different number from our service texts, and only to people who join it as described below.

2. How you join

Customers join by entering their mobile number and ticking the consent box on our text message sign-up page, or by saying yes when our staff ask, as they book service by phone, email or in person, whether we may text them. Technicians and subcontractors may choose to receive work notifications by text; it is not required to work with us, and the same details are always available in our app and by email. After you join we send one text confirming it. Texts are optional: consent is not a condition of any purchase, service or work with us, and anyone who does not opt in gets the same updates by email or phone.

Offers & Reminders: you join only by entering your mobile number and ticking the separate, optional marketing text consent box on our text message sign-up page. We never sign anyone up for marketing texts by phone or in person. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase or service.

3. Message frequency

Service Notifications: message frequency varies with your service activity, typically a few messages per job. Offers & Reminders: up to 4 messages per month.

4. Costs

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details of your plan. We do not charge for these messages.

5. How to stop

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP to any of our messages. After you send STOP, we will send you one message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive messages from us. To join again, reply START or sign up again on our sign-up page.

Each program is sent from its own number, so STOP ends the program you reply to. To stop both, reply STOP to a message from each, or contact us and we will remove you from both.

6. Help

7. Delivery

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and coverage.

8. Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms and will post the new version on this page.
